America will Strike April 15, 2024

One of our British authors, C.J. Stone, just forwarded me the below movie that outlines just how corrupt and illegal the Federal Reserve is and provides an intriguing method to protest it.

Synopsis for both: Strike (e.g. call in sick) to abolish the Federal Reserve on the IRS tax filling deadline day, April 15, 2008.

H.R. 3773 - FISA Amendments Act of 2008, by US Rep. Ron Paul

Mr Speaker, I rise in opposition to this latest attempt to undermine our personal liberties and violate the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution. This bill will allow the federal government to engage in the bulk collection of American citizens’ communications. In effect, it means that any American may have his electronic communications monitored without a search warrant.

As such, the bill clearly violates the Fourth Amendment

Living by the Sword, by US Rep. Ron Paul

It has been said that “he who lives by the sword shall die by the sword.” And in the case of Eliot Spitzer this couldn’t be more true. In his case it’s the political sword, as his enemies rejoice in his downfall. Most people, it seems, believe he got exactly what he deserved.

The illegal tools of the state brought Spitzer down, but think of all the harm done by Spitzer in using the same tools against so many other innocent people. He practiced what could be termed “economic McCarthyism,” using illegitimate government power to build his political career on the ruined lives of others.

Educate, Amend, Rewrite or Let it Crash?

The U.S. has major problems, and many of them trace down to the application of the Constitution. The chances that the United States of America can establish again a limited government, in the spirit of the framers of the Constitution, are slim. Ben Franklin said, when asked what the Constitutional convention had come up with, “A Republic, if you can keep it.” We did not keep it.

Are you smarter than an illegal immigrant?

The folks at the US Citizenship and Immigration Services have devised a new citizenship test for those few illegal immigrants who, for some unknown reason, are actually trying to become lawful citizens. The new questions, the USCIS claims, are calculated to better measure how well newbies understand what it means to be an American rather than how well they can memorize answers. Of course, most libertarians are convinced that most natural born citizens don't know what it really means to be an American either.

Warriors for Freedom take aim at the Real ID

They are warriors for freedom. Homeland Security hates and fears them. But America needs them.

Congressman Paul Takes Aim at DC Gun Ban

Congressman Ron Paul has signed on to a letter to the President asking that an amicus curiae brief filed by U.S Solicitor General Paul D. Clement on DC v. Heller, otherwise known as the DC Gun Ban Case, be withdrawn on the basis that the reasoning within, were it to be accepted by the Supreme Court, leaves open the door for more encroachments on individuals’ Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms.

The brief in question argues that categorical bans of virtually all self-defense firearms may be upheld as constitutional if a court determines that these prohibitions are “reasonable” restrictions of constitutional rights. The reasonability standard is the lowest standard of constitutional review our courts utilize, a much lesser hurdle than the “strict scrutiny” review that courts use in many cases in which regulations threaten individual rights.

Paving Paradise, by US Rep. Ron Paul

The Constitution guarantees Americans the right to be secure against all unreasonable seizures. My home state of Texas is unfortunately planning on some very unreasonable seizures of land with the monstrous Trans Texas Corridor highway project. The TTC plans call for a highway to cut through about 4,000 Texas miles, and with separate rail lines for passenger and freight, a multi-lane highway with separate truck lanes, utility and cable easements, this highway could be as wide as 1200 feet across. In the end this project would consume something like half a million acres of land in Texas . However, since the exact path of the road has not been determined, it is putting much more acreage in jeopardy, and in limbo.

Taking land is destructive enough. But the perpetual threat of taking an undetermined amount of land is hanging over the heads of millions of Texans and putting their lives at a standstill. Land is a store of wealth and a source of stability. This highway project is tragically threatening that for so many Texans.

Statement on H.R. 5104, by US Rep. Ron Paul

Madame Speaker, I rise in opposition to the extension of the Protect America Act of 2007 because the underlying legislation violates the US Constitution.

The mis-named Protect America Act allows the US government to monitor telephone calls and other electronic communications of American citizens without a warrant. This clearly violates the Fourth Amendment, which states:

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Biblical Constitution?

If Mike Huckable were to be elected president, would he place his hand on the constitution and swear to uphold the bible? Hell no, but he would proceed to make the bible our constitution.

The Enumeration of Rights Clause

Judge Robert Bork, when he was nominated for the supreme court, testified before the senate as to a “general right of freedom” as follows: "I do not think you can use the Ninth Amendment unless you know something of what it means. For example, if you had an amendment that says 'Congress shall make no' and then there is an ink blot and you cannot read the rest of it and that is the only copy you have, I do not think the court can make up what might be under the ink blot if you cannot read it."

Libertarians, Old Guard Vs. New Blood, Fight at Eleven

Many of the old guard libertarians just don't get it. Ron Paul isn't an “Us vs. Them” internal libertarian / conservative republican fight, it's a:

Holy Crap! We're damn near Toast!

Is there ANY one we can support or even marginally get behind that will at least slow the United States slide into a drooling Hitler dreamscape of Big Brotherism?

Because I don't know about you, but I only see two options on the table. 1) Fight like hell, and 2) Get the fuck out.

Steps to Revolution – Effective Coalition, Cooperation, Communication, Consensus

Coalition is the tool most needed to give Americans back their country and their freedom. Liberals join the Ron Paul Revolution; the action will be local both to elect Ron and to survive.

The Mortgage Mafia is Feeding on the Homes and Hopes of Americans.

Smedley Butler was the most decorated general in the US military; he was also the man who single-handedly stopped the junta poised to take over America's government in 1934. Some people can confront the truth and not falter. Today each of us as Americans face similar challenges. Meet the Mafia who have installed shackles on a free people; they bear the faces of the institutions you thought you could trust.

The Taxes and Takings Clauses

The single act that has done the most damage to our republic is the enactment of the sixteenth amendment - income taxes. But it is merely a large piece of a collection of troublesome clauses. It contradicts the "takings clause," which itself is also an insult to justice. Why can't a government sell its services in a market? Why can't a government get the properties it wants from a market?
