Playing the I Won't Run game, by Garry Reed
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/playing_the_i_wont_run_game.html
Anyone can hog headlines by running for president. John Kerry is merely the latest master media manipulator to do so by announcing that he's not. Senate Majority Leadercrat Bill Frist not only rejected a 2008 bid for the White House, but is also retiring from politics altogether after serving 12 years as promised. The announcement stunned libertarians who noted that Frist actually served 12 years in the Senate after pledging to serve no more than 12 years in the Senate. Still, others have pointed out that the Tennessee pol remains under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission for insider trading. Rumors persist that Martha Stewart's old bunk is still available.

Civility is for the Civil: Cheney should answer all questions, by The Melinda
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/civility_for_the_civil_cheney_should_answer.html
Mary is having a baby and if her father were not Dick Cheney her gay life style and relationship would not be worthy of a murmur. But when grand-daddy made billions selling hate for the self imposed American "Aristocrats", allowing Cheney to chose the questions to avoid the relevant topics, is wrong. Shame of Wolf Blitzer for allowing the Vice Hypocrite to evade the questions that should be asked - and answered.

Garden State (2004), Reviewed by Popcorn and the Kernels
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/m_00014_Garden_State_2004.html
I'm beginning to have a jones for Natalie Portman. She's a big part of the appeal of this movie. Garden State would have a hard time drawing fans were it not for her offbeat, ebullient presence.

The story of Garden State involves a young man, Andrew Largeman (Large) (Zack Braff, who also writes and directs the movie), who returns home to New Jersey for his mother's funeral. Andrew is a moderately successful TV actor living in the LA area who hasn't been home to The Garden State in nearly a decade. We later discover the real reason for Large's extended absence, but in the beginning his dysfunctional relationship with his father (Ian Holm) is quite enough explanation.

Too late to Barr the door, by Garry Reed
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/too_late_to_barr_the_door.html
In the true style of "Do anything to get power" by a politician: Bob Barr --once considered the most fanatical Drug Warrior in Congress-- first loses his 2002 re-election bid, partly though $50,000 in Libertarian Party issue ads, and now in late 2006 accepts a leadership position within the LP. What exactly is the LP thinking?

If you're a member of the Libertarian Party, or even just a frustrated libertarian, you might consider the Boston Tea Party as a less corrupt replacement. http://www.bostontea.us/

NIX ON Bush: Take Back the Republican Party, Install Ron Paul, by The Melinda
http://www.reasontofreedom.com/nix_on_bush_install_ron_paul.html
When Nixon starts to look warm and fuzzy and kindly you know you have a problem. it is time that all Americans, but particularly Republicans asked, first politely, and then took action to vacate the White House. We have a better idea, and that is swearing in President Paul, a man the Right and Left in America all know they can trust.
