The Politicians are Ruining Our Country

What have the politicians in Washington DC done to America? What has happened to the respect that many European countries used to have for this country ours?

Where were the allies when our airplane was grounded in China? Not one European country came to our defense or even offered to lend a diplomatic hand.

Where was England, France or any of the countries that we sent our men and boys to save during World War II?

I listened to Hardball last night and heard Alexander Haig and Bill Richardson try to answer Chris Mathews question "Why was America thrown off the Human Rights Committee? " and the question that is on the lips of all Americans "Why do we need the United Nations anyway?"

Both Haig and Richardson hemmed and hawed and finally decided that we have to stay in the United Nations because we need them for our world trade! Years ago we manufactured 85 percent of our own products and today the percentage is 20! We apparently need other countries to keep us in merchandise.

So what I am seeing is that our politicians have sold us down the tubes for their own personal gain and have caused us to be half of what we were years ago. Well, I am pissed!

Haig and Richardson explained to Mathews that we would have to pay something like 6 trillion (lots of 0s) dollars to the United Nations before we can regain our reputation! Then we have to follow up with another 6 trillion in back payments. Give me a break! Dump the bums!

The trade agreements that have been arranged by the last two administrations have only caused a tremendous trade deficit especially with Communist China. To keep them on the "Favored Nation" category is simply foolish. We lose money every time we deal with the Communists so why to we continue to do so? What kind of un-American deals have we been accomplishing?

I can't be the only one who is upset by this. This is not a partisan problem but a survival disaster. Why would anyone (Republican or Democrat) want to see America dissolve into a third rate country? Maybe we had all better take a good look at what is happening at this very moment in this country.

I have no intention of putting the blame for anything on Bush; lets clear the air on this right now. What I have hopes for is that President Bush will take an honest look at what the American citizens really want for their country. I know we can't all agree on the repairs that are sorely needed but we all must recognize the need for change.

We need a defense system that will protect the American people from aggression! This should include our northern and southern borders. As a part of this defense system, we need a missile defense shield plus efficient border patrols that will follow the old rules of insisting that all immigrants have health certificates for the protection of our American kids. This is the first and foremost need from the federal government. We also need to stay out of foreign affairs and tend to our own. We constantly annoy other countries without thinking what we are doing. We pay the guys in Washington DC big bucks to act like diplomats and they tend to bomb instead. Enough!

On this same subject I would like to know how the USA can protect ourselves from the immigration of drugs, weapons, bombs and contaminated people if we open up the corridor to cover the entire western hemisphere? This is currently being discussed in the house and senate to the point where 61 Senators have requested that Bush not be given the authority to open our borders up for free trade if it means losing the safety of those borders.

Neither party has even discussed the corrective measures needed in our schools. The Dems want more money poured into the system and the Reps. want to test everyone. Bill Bennett has stated over and over that we know how to teach our kids to read and write but we can't talk the schools into doing this! To me, neither party has the ability to handle the subject and it should be removed from the federal government's authority and trashed. If the teachers can't figure out how to teach the kids, then cut them off of federal funds.

So it amounts to this. The federal government in incapable of handling the education of the kids. Send the money back to the parents, give them a tax break on private schools and get out! The problem is that all the children of the house and senate attend private schools and they are clueless about the rest of us.

What I am seeing with all this is a concerted effort to demolish the United States of America and simply be part of a global government. Where in the name of God did this arrangement come from? I don't believe the Democrats want this change of government and I know many Republicans don't.

That business with China and our airplane should be a "wake up" call and we should be asking President Bush to change his policies of dealing with China. We are going to war with them, and we must realize it by now. Instead of wasting another dime on the United Nations, let's toss them out of New York, take that money and start protecting the citizens of America.

Is there anyone out there who agrees with me that we are destroying our country? We must get out of the United Nations now! We don't owe them a damn thing! We need our American spirit renewed by having a group of politicians in Washington DC who we can trust! I don't want a global government, I want an American government!

It states clearly in the constitution that the federal government should protect our borders. Would opening them up cause anything but harm to us? This corridor plan must be removed. We can deal with South America without giving them the right to enter and exit our country without proper paperwork.

Who will listen to us?
